Operator

As an Operator, you'll join a state-of-the-art packaging company in Leeuwarden, where you and your team are responsible for producing packaging for well-known brands.

You’ll begin in the folding and gluing department. There, you’ll ensure packaging flows smoothly through the machines and ends up neatly packed in boxes. Occasionally, you'll stack finished products onto pallets. The work is varied and no two days are the same — from snack packaging to cake mix, every order brings something new.

What will you do?

• Set up machines and troubleshoot minor malfunctions
• Check print quality and overall packaging standards
• Keep your workspace clean and organized
• Contribute ideas to help optimize the production process

Your technical skills will come in handy when operating the machinery, and attention to detail is key — you're producing packaging that will be seen in supermarkets. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities for personal development through training.

You’ll be trained to become a fully qualified Operator, but it’s important to have the patience and motivation to grow into the role. It typically takes about a year to become a full-fledged Operator — we’ll guide you every step of the way.
